TOP pellets are an important part of a complete diet. Feed approximately as much as your bird will consume in a day. Some days birds will eat more than others so the amount will fluctuate. Discard the remainder and feed fresh pellets each time. Consult your avian veterinarian if you have any specific diet related concerns. Although an excellent source of protein, vitamins and minerals, we believe that no pellet can provide 100% of a bird’s nutritional needs. Please be sure to feed vegetables, fruits, nuts, and some seeds for a varied diet.

With cold pressed pellets there is no way to change the form. So we asked our producer what we could do so that the little parrots would waste less. Soaked seeds come close to the germinated seeds parrots would eat when living in nature. Dried seeds contain all the nutrients necessary for a plant to live and grow. When soaked, this nutrition is awakened. This becomes a great source of nutrition to our birds, that is also easy to digest.

Soaking AIO is an easy process. Just put one part AIO seed mix in about three parts of room temperature water and let soak for between 8 and 24 hours. Drain, rinse with some water and its ready to feed. If you want, you can add some apple cider vinegar or a drop of GSE and rinse again with fresh water before feeding.

If some is left over, you can keep it in the fridge for a few days. It will start sprouting. We suggest that you rinse again before feeding.

Many small parrots like cockatiels, parakeets, and parrotlets, are ground feeders. That means a good amount of their daily food are seeds. Many of the seeds they eat in nature are germinated. When seeds germinate (soak up/absorb humidity) they get ready to provide the necessary boost of nutrition for a plant to develop and grow. All of this nutrition is awakened when the seeds are soaked or germinated. Soak Napoleon's Seed Mix and it releases this nutrition to the birds.
